About Technology Shortcuts

Technology Shortcuts answers one small question at a time: which keys do this job. Each guide covers a single task, such as taking a screenshot, inserting a row in Excel or passing a sales voucher in Tally, and puts the keys at the very top so you can read them and get back to work.

Who the guides are for

We write for students learning computer basics, office and accounts staff, data entry operators, Tally users and anyone with a new laptop. Many readers search in Hinglish, so the guides use simple English and explain the keys the way a computer teacher would at the desk next to you.

What every guide includes

  • The keys for Windows and Mac, or for each version of the app where they differ
  • Short steps that say what to select first
  • A table of related shortcuts
  • Fixes for when the keys do nothing, such as the Fn key on laptops
  • Questions people ask about the task

Independent

Technology Shortcuts is not affiliated with Microsoft, Apple, Tally Solutions, Adobe or any other software maker. Product names are used only to say which program a shortcut belongs to. Every guide is an independent explanation.
