Editorial policy

Accuracy

A shortcut guide is only useful if the keys work. We name the system and version for every shortcut, describe what must be selected first, and leave out anything we cannot confirm.

Independence

Technology Shortcuts is not affiliated with any software maker. No company pays to have a shortcut included, ranked or described in a certain way. Advertising, when shown, is labelled and kept apart from the guides.

Plain language

We write in short sentences for readers who may be new to computers, and explain terms like Fn lock or ribbon key tips when they first appear.

Corrections

If a guide is wrong or out of date, email guestpostadvertising@gmail.com with the page and your system. We check reports quickly, fix confirmed errors and update the date shown on the page.
